This land has been lived and worked on by our family since 1899. One thousand, one hundred acres in beautiful Eskdale, Hawke’s Bay, is where we call home. It’s our livelihood and lifestyle and we love sharing our slice of paradise with others.
The Clark family has owned and worked this farm for over 100 years. Thomas Clark originally bought the land in 1899 to raise sheep and cattle. Today the land is still used by the family to raise sheep and cattle, only now, instead of horseback, motorbikes are used to get around. With each new generation that takes over the family business comes new ideas. Dave Clark, the fifth generation Clark to return home from travels to work on the farm, wanted to give travellers an authentic New Zealand experience. So we opened our doors to do just that!
Beautiful vistas, mountains and countryside, award-winning food and wine, balmy summer weather and warm locals, Hawke’s Bay is a treasure for New Zealanders and visitors to enjoy. Known as the fruit bowl of New Zealand, Hawke’s Bay has an abundance of seasonal produce from summer stone fruit to autumn veggies and grapes for the region’s acclaimed wines. In particular, the fertile soils around Eskdale produce delicious apples, stone fruit and grapes.
